Step 4: What’s Your Role?

At the Historic Grove Theater, we invite you to not just “give back,” but to give forward. Here’s what that looks like:

Be a responsible guest.

To keep operational costs down, the Grove Theater is only able to afford basic (once a week) janitorial services at this time.

  • Please refer to our cleaning checklist provided during your facility walk-through and available here.

  • Return things (and settings on sound/lighting equipment) to the way your found them. The next user group will thank you!

  • If you are an event organizer that oversees a large group of performers/participants—YOU will need to set the tone for your group by communicating why/how the Grove is different than most other venues.

Consider your impact.

  • Be mindful that if you reserve a date (particularly for a large event)—our “yes” to you, often means a “no” to someone else. If you need to cancel an event, please let us know as soon as possible!‍ ‍

  • Make sure our theater admin has current contact information (ie, an email address you actually check!) Help us, help you make your event a success by staying in communication with us.

  • In order to maximize our impact, we may book concurrent user groups where possible and practical. Please be kind, courteous and flexible to other people/groups you might encounter!
